At the wool sales 6721 bales were offered, including 5305 bales of New Zealand wool, and 5298 bales were sold. There was good general competition, and the bulk was sold at steady rates. The New Zealand lots sold as follows : Greasy merino—Birchill Marlbors (top price 20d), average 17|d. Scoured merinos Flockhill (31d), 29.? d. The Bradford tops market is steadier, owing to the opening of the London sales beingp better than was generally expected. Quotations: 70’s 38id, 64’s 37id, 60’s 35d, 56’s 25id, 50’s 19d, 46’s 14.{d, 40’s ll2d.
