TWO GOOD DRAMAS.

“ Master of Men ” and “ Hell and High Water.” The Liberty Theatre, which has been closed for renovations during the past two weeks, will re-open on Saturday with an attractive double-feature programme. “ Master ot Men,” a drama, starring Jack Holt,

will be the main picture. “Hell and High Water,” a romantic drama, in which the leading roles are taken by Richard Arlen and Judith Allen, will be screened in support. “ Master of Men ” is undoubtedly one of the best productions in which Jack Holt has yet appeared. It is an effective

combination of good acting, capable direction and skilful photography. Jack licit is cast as a crane operator in a steel mill. Having more intelligence and ability than his work mates he rapidly gains promotion and soon finds himself appointed manager and then later president of the company. The picture moves with dexterity of action throughout and makes splendid entertainment. “ Hell and High Water,” starring Richard Aden and Judith Allen, unfolds the appealing and amusing romance of two very human people—a sentimental, ambitious young skipper of a fishing boat and a girl to whom life has been very unkind, the one a professed woman hater, the other a confirmed man hater. Box plans at the D.I.C.
