BEN TRAVERS FARCE.
“ A Cuckoo in the Nest ” is One Long Laugh. “ A Cuckoo in the Nest ” heads the current bill of fare at the Tivoli Theatre. In this Gaumont-British film the ideal combination s offered—a Ren Travers farce, Ralph Lynn, Tom Walls. Mary Brough, Yvonne Arnaud and Robertson Hare. The story lends itself admirably to the brilliance of these famous stars of the British theatrical and picture world, and from beginning to end the production is a riot of fun. An outstanding feature is the work of Tom Walls, who has a different part from any other he has been seen in. Disguised behind a thirstv moustache and a bibulous nose, he i.' Major Bene, the semi-intoxicated husband of a strong-minded wife. lie is even more successful in this character part than in previous roles, and much ol the fun centres round his spirited exchanges with his wife and his frequent excursions to the bar in search of stimulants. There is a strong programme of supports.
