Autumn Foursomes at Shirley. FOURTH ROUND MATCHES. When play was resumed yesterday tlie Indications were that conditions would he favourable, but a cold southerly breeze appeared in the early forenoon and continued throughout the day. to the discomfort of the players. The third and fourth rounds of the autumn foursome and a handicap foursome were played. The autumn foursome has now reached the semi-final stage and has assumed a club contest, as all the contestants are Shirley members. One pair of the four, however. Mrs D. O. Macfarlane and Mrs P. Ft. Deardcn, are country players, who play most of their golf on the Amuri links. Yesterday’s scores were: AUTUMN FOURSOME. Fourth Round. Mrs Tin gey and Mrs Scott beat Mrs Hunt and Miss Nathan, 2 and 1. Mrs M’Killop and Miss Cracroft Wilson beat Mrs Hartley Smith and Miss Hobbs, 6 and 4. Mrs Macfarlane and Mrs Dearden beat Miss Fleming and Miss Nutt, 4 and 3.
