Sir Gerald Du Maurier’s Death. (Continued from Page 1.) United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received April 12, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 11. Sir Gerald du Maurier underwent an internal operation and appeared to be recovering when he suffered a relapse. His wife was called to his bedside, but he did not regain consciousness. The newspapers, actors and actresses pay a tribute to him as the godfather of the stage. Mr John Collier, the artist, aged eighty-four, also died to-day. Mr Collier and Sir Gerald du Maurier were neighbours at Hampstead.
