The Butter Market.

Dear Sir,—lf all the controversy about butter was of benefit to the dairy farmer it would be all right, but to me and many more it seems as if someone wants another picnic to Great Britain. I had a newspaper from my son in Scotland and a native of New Zealand and in that paper there are a number of shopkeepers’ advertisements. The first item in a grocer’s advertisement is finest Danish butter Is lb, but no mention of New Zealand butter. That is where the fault comes in. What are merchants and agents for New Zealand thinking about as the tariff lies with them?—l am, etc., WELL WISHER.
