Traffic in the Square.
Dear Sir, —During last week I had occasion to go in by tramcar to the city from Sydenham. The car stopped opposite the Godley statue, and, thinking I was in a safety zone, I was for a few moments surveying those sitting on seats when along comes a motor-car on the asphalt between the- iron rails and the statue. Now, sir, if this is allowed, then the Tramway Board, which already seems to be in Queer Street, will have more expenses to meet for accident compensation, as there were several elderly people there who could not get about like the younger generation and never expected to have to make way tor motor-cars in that part of the Square.— I am, etc., TRUTH.
