SHIPWRECK BALL.
Successful Dance at Culverden. A shipwreck ball was held in the Culverden Hall on Friday evening by the Qulverden Tennis Club. The guests included members of the other clubs in the Amuri district and the* Marlborough polo players, who v/ere visiting Culverden. The hall was arranged as a ship’s deck, with a mast and reefed sails, starboard and port lights. Many original costumes weie worn by the dancers. Messrs F. Wilson and B. Macdonald were joint M.C.’s and the music was supplied by George Bradford’s orchestra. Extras were played by Mr R. Chapman. Among those present were:—Mtsdames L. R. C. Macfarlane, M. Bethell, G.
