Advance in Fat Lamb Schedule. STORE LAMBS FIRMER. Better prices were paid in the fat Inmb pens at the Addington stock sale to-day. owing to a rise in the export schedule rates. Values were fully up to Sd per lb, and in cases above that for prime light-weights. Store lambs had a good sale, and forward sorts sold at an advance of about Is a head on last week. A medium entry of fat cattle sold at last week's rates, over the early part of the auction. Fat Lambs. An all-round increase of ?.d per lb in the export schedule was responsible for better values in the fat iamb pens, where there was a rise of up to 9d per head on last week’s rates. The yarding included many good-quality lambs, but there was a large proportion of medium sorts, many of which were from the West Coast. Bidding was keen, and full export rates of Sd per lb were paid for prime light-weights. Values were:— Extra prime heavy lambs to 30s Id. Prime heavy lambs 24s Gd to 275. The average quality was first-class, and some outstanding pens were offered in each class. The demand was steady at values firm at late rates for all beef of quality grade.
