Will Not Retire.
College Councillors* Decision. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 20. r jPHE TERMS of a letter signed by Mr Justice Ostler, Messrs P. Levi, A. Fair and S. Eichelbaum, and addressed to the clerk of the Court of Convocation, Victoria University College, indicate clearly that they, as representatives of the graduates on the College Council, do not intend to comply with the resolution declared carried at a meeting of the Court of Convocation recently, requesting that they should retire and offer themselves as may be desired for re-election. The signatories of the letter point out that they were elected by the graduates at elections in which the whole of the electors had an opportunity of voting, and when their present term of office expires the electors will again have an opportunity of expressing confidence or otherwise in them if they elect to stand.
