RICHMOND BURGESSES.
The monthly meeting of the Richmond Burgesses’ Association was held last evening, Mr S. W. Richardson presiding. The Town Clerk wrote stating that the widening of Stanmore Road had not been continued owing to provision pot having been made on the estimates to meet the cost of acquiring further land for widening purposes. It was derided to write to the City Council asking for the widening of Stanmore Road to take place as soon as possible, because the trolley buses would be running along the street at a later date. It was also decided to send a remit on the same matter to the United Burgesses’ Association. Regarding the tar-sealing of streets in North Richmond, the Town Clerk wrote stating that it was not possible to do any further work of that nature this year, but the matter would be considered when the estimates lor the forthcoming year were being prepared.
