CYCLING CLUB’S PICNIC.

An enjoyable picnic was held by the New Brighton Novice Cycling Club at " The Pines," Kairaki Beach, on Sunday, when about forty of the members and their friends spent the day in games ancP races. The sports winners were as follows: Single ladies—Miss Treleaven 1, Miss Rice 2. Single men, 75yds—R. Stokes 1, C. Kerr 2. Married ladies, walking— Mrs Banfield 1, Mrs Kerr 2. Married men—Mr Boyd 1, Mr S. Stevens 2. Egg and spoon race, ladies—Miss Treleaven 3. Miss Burgess 2. Egg and spoon race, men —R. Stokes 1, A. Cockle 2. Threelegged race—Miss Treleaven and C. Wilkins 1, Miss Sybil and B. Penrose 2. Cigarette race—B. M'Kernan 1. B. Rice 2. Novelty race—A. Cockle 1, R. Stokes 2. Wheelbarrow race—Miss Treleaven and C. Wilkins 1, Miss Kerr and R. Penrose 2. Elopement race—Mrs Banfield and Mr Thompson 1. Miss Mannix was the winner of a competition and received a box of sweets.
