Warner’s Hotel Changes Hands. Warner’s Hotel will shortly be taken over by Licensed Freeholds, Ltd., a Christchurch company, which plans extensively to renovate and modernise the house. Mr B. Reginald Collins is managing director of the company, and it is ffikelv that Mr B. H. Price, who was recently appointed manager of Warner’s, will continue in that position. The companv intends to take over the hotel in about two months, and the renovation work will be commenced then. South Island Subscribers found most of the £40,000 capital in the companv. Messrs Collins and West, architects, will have charge of renovating part of the interior and the exterior, and the furnishing will be done by -Messrs A. J. White. Ltd. Warner’s is the first hotel to be acquired by the company, which intends in time to gain control of other licensed houses in the main centres.
