MILITARY CAMP.

First Canterbury Regiment in Training. Arrangements are progressing satisfactorily for the annual camp of the First Battalion Canterbury Regiment, which is to be held at the Glentunnel Domain from March 1 to March 8. The complement will comprise some thirtyfive officers and 300 n.c.o.’s and men. Last year’s camp attracted about the same number. Lieutenant-Colonel S. D. Mason, officer commanding the First Battalion Canterbury Regiment will be in charge, and Major E. C. D. Withell second in command. Captain W. Murphy will be camp adjutant and the Rev 11. Nelson Wright battalion chaplain. The annual camp and trek of the Third Composite Company, New Zealand Army Service Corps, is to be held from March 3 to March 10. Major G. M. Burn will be in command and Captain E. Davis second in command. On the Saturday the company will go into camp at Redcliffs and on the Tuesday a trek will be made to Allandale, where the company will spend the night. From Allandale the trip to Burnham will be made in stages. It is expected that Burnham will be reached on March 10. Transport and supply schemes will be undertaken each day. The party will be made up of seven officers and fifty n.c.o.’s and men.
