The second meeting of the newly formed New Brighton Rugby Football Club was held in the Pier Hall last, evening. Mr R. s. Freeborn presided over an attendance of fifty. The election of the remaining officers resulted: Committee. Messrs v. Colville. 1.. Hardie, 13. B. Diehl, A. Henry A. Stevens, B. Bacon and .). Aston - club captain, Mr J. S. Freeborn; vice-captain. Mr J. Aston; delegate to Canterbury Rugby Union. Mr .). N. Clarke ; honorary surgeon. Dr Glasgow. Opening dav was. Used for March 24. The club colours are to be broad black and narrow gold hoops.
