TIMARU SOCIAL NOTES.

Dr and Mrs L. S. Talbot and family, Te Weka Street, have returned from a holiday at the river. Mrs Ferrier, Ashburton, and Mrs Ivan Black, Albury, and their children are spending a holiday at the river. Miss Evelyn Orbell, Christchurch, who was a guest at the Grand, has ielt for Moeraki. Mr and Mrs T. W. Lynch, Church Street, who were on holiday in the south, have returned home. Madame Edith Baird, who was tlis guest of Mrs W. Burns, Church Street, has left for Auckland. Miss Marjorie Gibson, Elizabeth Street, is the guest of Mrs W. T. Ritchie at Moeraki. Mrs Brand, Braemar, Scotland, who was the guest of Mrs George Shirtcliff, is now visiting friends in the South Island. Mr and Mrs D. Johnson, Palmerston North, and Miss Phyllis Dunkley, Christchurch, have returned home after staying with Kirs Ivo . Cunningham, Highfield. Kirs Owen (Dunedin) and Mrs M’Bride (Quennstown) are the guests of their niece, Mrs Harrison (Winchester). Mrs A. D. Dunkley, Christchurch, who has been staying with Mrs W. Shrader, Park View Terrace, has returned north.
