TIMARU SOCIAL NOTES.

Mr and Mrs W. J. Crawford. Dunedin, are guests at the Grand. Misses Jean and Mary Callender, Dunedin, are guests at Beverley House. Wai-iti Road.

Miss Ethel Jackson, Dunedin, is spending the holidays at the Hermitage. Mount Cook. Mrs J R. Scott and Mis 6 Helen Scott, Seddon Street, are spending a holiday at Kakanui. Mr and Mrs J. E. Bews and Miss Bews. Invercargill, are the guests of Mrs Ronald M’Leod, Geraldine.

Miss Mackenzie, Wellington, is staying with Miss F. J. Rolleston, LeCren’s Terrace.

Mr and Mrs Stanley Natuscli, Wellington. are the guests of Dr Unwin. Church Street.

Mr and Mrs Charles Thompson and Miss Thompson and Miss Cameron, Dunedin, are staying at Cadogan, Sefton Street. Mr and Mrs H. Sinclair-Thomson, Park Lane, were the guests of Mrs Sinclair-Thomson, The Crossing, Woodbury, for Christmas.

Lady Fenwick, Dunedin, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs Wilfred White, Summerhill, Levels. Miss Fenwick is a guest at Beverley House. Wai-iti Road. Mr and Mrs F. Newton, Maltbv Avenue, are on a motor tour to Nelson. Mrs Templeman and Miss Monica Templeman, Christchurch, have taken their house.

Mrs R. H. Hunter-Weston, who has been spending some time at Mount John. Lake Tekapo. is now staying with her father. Sir John Roberts, Littlebourne, Dunedin. Party at Hotel Balmoral.

Guests at the Hotel Balmoral, Timaru. spent a delightful evening on Christmas night when a number of young people gathered to hear a musical programme, after which they went on to the Lido for supper.
