Record Crowd Attends Picnic. There was an animated scene on Boxing Day at the Addington Showgrounds, when the Richmond Working Men’s Club held its forty-third annual picnic. A record crowd of 500 adults and children left the club in the morning in six trams to the strains of music played by the Stanmore Silver Band, who during the day rendered enjoyable items. The picnic was given for the benefit of the wives and children of the club members-, who formed a happy party. A a ports programme was held for the adults and children. Each child under eight years received a gift. There were free ice creams and soft drinks, hot water, tea, sugar, milk and refreshments. The president of the club (Mr R. M. Grant) welcomed all those present on behalf o« the executive and members and wished them an enjoyable day's exiting. The chairman of the Entertainment Committee (Mr G. P.
