RIFLE SHOOTING.

Annual Championships Held at Redcliffs. CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. The twelfth annual championship meeting of the Canterbury Rifle Association opened yesterday morning- at the Redcliffs rifle range in fine weather. Shooting conditions were good, with a light easterly wind, but later in the day a strong north-wester set in. The entries were the best for several years, and enabled the executive to pav the programme in full. Riflemen were present from Dunedin, Timaru, Ashburton, Culverden, Rangiora, Kaiapoi and Banks Peninsula, with a large contingent from the Christchurch clubs. Lieu-tenant-Colonel F. B. Cresweil was the range officer in charge, assisted by Alajor J. P. Oakes, Messrs E. F. Sandford and W. S. Wharton. Air R. H. Neill was the secretary, with Mr S. C. Hulleti statistician.
