SHEEPSKIN SALES.

United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyrigh t. (Received December 15. 12.50 p.m.) LONDON, December 14. At the sheepskin sales 4364 bales were offered, including 1618 bales of New Zealand. There was good general competition and 90 per cent of the offering was sold. The Continent and the United States were the principal buyers. Compared with October the prices were: Australian merino combings and fine cross-breds were 10 per cent dearer. Shorn and reject pelts were slightly dearer. New Zealand lots were rather irregular. On the average they were 10 per cent dearer. Dalgety’s Report. LONDON, December 14. At to-day’s London sheepskin sale 4364 bales were offered, of which 90 per cent were sold. The attendance of buyers and competition were good. The Continent and America were the principal operators. As compared with the closing rates of the last series New Zealand skins were slightly irregular, but 10 per cent higher on the average. Lambs were 10 per cent higher. The following is the range of prices realised: Merino three-quarter to fuli-woolled lOd to lljd, merino quarter to half-woolled 4Jd to 9d, merino short and shorn 2Jd to 43d, cross-bred three-quarter to fullwoolletf (fine) Sd to Hid, cross-bred three-quarter to full-woolled (medium and coarse) sjd to Sid, cross-bred quarter to half-woolled (fine) TJd to 9|d. cross-bred quarter to half-woolled (medium and coarse) 43d to 6»d, crossbred short and shorn 4i<? to 6Jd, lambs 6id to lid.
