Halswell Amateur Club’s Races.

The Hal swell Amateur Cycling Club held three track races 10-day at the Halswell Domain. G. R. Giles won both the three-mile and the half-mile races ?n good time, off scratch. Results:—

Quarter-mile Handicap—First heat: N. Drake 1, N. Chaplin 2. Time, 34sec. Second heat: C. M'Alister 3, .7. Campbell 2. Time, 33see. Final: N. Drake (35yds) 3, C. M’Alister (15yds) 2. N. Chaplin (40yds) 3. Time—32sec. Won by half a wheel.
