Inter-club Competition Continued. SOME GOOD PERFORMANCES. Among: good performances when the inter-club competition was continued this afternoon was the fine run by the New Zealand champion, J. B. MacFarlane, who covered the 220 yards on a difficult track in 23sec, equalling - the Canterbury standard. Another runner to distinguish himself was G. H. Watson, of the Oid Boys’ Club, who ran the three miles in 15m in 4 9sec—standard time. The various events drew good fields and competition was keen. Miss Callinan was again in good form for the women’s 100yds and recorded standard time. Bullivant (Canterbury) who, although suffering from a strained ligament, ran the half-mile in 2min 1 3-ssec, bettering the Canterbury standard by l-ssec. F. W.
