German Sailor Gets Six Months’ Gaol. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 7, 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 7. The German sailor, Kaolmel, who vas convicted for having stolen the Emden bell from Garden Island, and who also was convicted for having taken it from the War Museum, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment with hard labour, and was ordered to pay eighteen guineas costs.
