Operatic Society Reviews Year’s Work. The annual meeting of the Christchurch Amateur Operatic Society was held in the Art. Gallery last night. Air G. M. Hall presided over a large atThe balance-sheet, which was adopted, showed that the year opened with a credit of £146 Is 5d and closed with a credit of £146 2s Id. The election of office-bearers resulted as follows: President, Mr J. J. Dougall; vice-presidents Messrs G. M. Hall, R. A. Horne, L. F. Nanoarrow and F C. Raphael; committee. Mrs R. D. Cargill. Mrs Guy Cotterell. Messrs A. W. Brown. Wyn Cowlishaw. A. Dickson, C. Guy, D. M’Kivatt and IT. Ronaldson; honorary treasurer. Mr H. S. Hobbs; honorary auditor, Mr I. ,J. Wilson. After some discussion, the meeting adopted the recommeridation of the committee that •’ Les Cloches de Corneville ” should be secured for the society’s next production.
