MAORI SHEARER DEAD.
Thrown From Horse and Kicked on Head. Per Press Association. GISBORNE. December 5. A Maori shearer, Matehaere Koia, 40 years of age, died in hospital early this morning from injuries received when he was thrown from a horse near Tolaga Bay yesterday evening. It is believed that deceased, after the fall, was struck on the head by the horse’s hoofs. .
