Reinstatement of Shipping Services. At a conference of local bodies held in Invercargill on Friday, a remit was passed urging that every endeavour should be made to bring about the reinstatement of the Bluff-Melbourne passenger service at the earliest date. It was contended that a reinstatement of this service was most essential in Southland’s interests, more so as the Melbourne Centenary is to be held next year.
