DOUBLE PROGRAMME.

Tim M’Coy Western and “ Girl Missing.” Two mysteries, one introducing modern adventurers and their “ rackets ” in the setting of fashionable Palm Beach, the other with its scene of action in an isolated Western American township, where guns are the chief aids of justice, comprise the • current double-feature programme at the Liberty Theatre. The disappearance of a former chorus girl a few hours after her marriage to a young millionaire sportsman, and a murder which occurs at the same time and place, are the basis of the excellent Plot in “ Girl Missing ”, the feature film. There is a good measure of humour in the dialogue, much It of the ” wisecracking ” type, supplied by the hard-headed chorus girl, Kay Curtis (Glenda Farrell). The role of her companion, whose charm attracts Gibson even while lie rejects their efforts to help, is filled by Mary Brian. Peggy Shannon is cast as the bride, and, as her supposed father, Ferdinand Gottschalk is responsible for some subtle humour. " Man of Action ” is the appropriate title of the second feature, which offers fa.fl riding and fast fighting. Tim M'Coy appears as a Hanger who is set the task of clearing up a bank robbery and shooting. Caryl Lincoln, who fills the only feminine role, acquits* herself well in her first starring picture, and Wheeler Oakman, wellknown featured player, is exeellcnt as the suspected sheriff.
