“LOVE ME TO-NIGHT.”

Saucy Musical Romance at Everybody’s. With ever popular Maurice Chevalier j lU ]' o t , | ’° B “ ish than ever, in the leading Me To-night ” is having a return season at Everybody’s Theatre this week. Like previous pictures starring Chevalier, " Love Me To-night ” is done in a humorous and whimsical vein, and is set to music. Most of the musical numbers, all written by Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart, noted song-writing combination, are sung by the French star and Jeanette MacDonald, but other members of the cast join in at one time or another. It is a light-hearted and romantic story of the type in which < hevalier and Jeanette MacDonald are so successful. Chevalier is a struggling young tailor in this picture. In the musical comedy action of "Love Me To-night ” he is perfectly at home, and gives one of his best performances. He is more delightful than ever, and so long as he remains like that audiences will not tire of him. Jeanette MacDonald. as has been proved time and again, is the perfect partner for Chevalier. She. plays a proud and haughty princess, rather prim and with an inherent distrust and dislike for men. But this does not stop her from singing several effective songs. Charles Ruggles has the role of an impecunious count, arid is responsible for much of the comedy in the piece. Good supports are shown.
