ROUTE EXTENDED.

London Air Mails to go to Singapore. British Official Wireless. (Received November 28, 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, November 27. The Indian air-mail which leaves London on December 9 will inaugurate the extension of the service from Rangoon to Singapore. An additional 1500 miles will thus be added and the 8700mile air journey’ to Singapore will be accomplished in ten days, half the time of the fastest surface transport. The Christmas mail to the Straits Settlements will be carried. With the opening of the service to Singapore only 2300 miles remain to be completed of the 11.000-mile route from London to Port Darwin, which next year will be operated regularly.
