Every facility will be given to the Rotary Club in its street collection during the massed bands’ parade to the Botanical Gardens in connection with the club’s Christmas appeal, according to a letter sent by the Mayor (Mr D. G. Sullivan, M.P.) in reply to the club’s application for permission to take up a street collection. The Mayor stated that, with the rest of the citizens. he very much appreciaed the services rendered by the club to the poor of the community during the Christmas period.
