SAILING CANCELLED.
Trouble Over Crew for Waipahi. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, November 4. The sailing of the Union Company’s steamer Waipahi for Westport to-day had to be cancelled owing to her inability to get a crew signed on. Yesterday when the steamer was to" have been commissioned it Was found that the seamen would not sign on unless- the Gompany included in the complement one man whom the company was not prepared to accept. As no agreement could be. reached the company decided to abandon the trip. The Waipahi has been laid up for a considerable time, but recently it was decided to put her back in the Islands trade. She was to; make the trip to Westport and then return to load for the Islands.
