GRECIAN ROBES.

The art of the Athenians was admirablv expressed bv the Canterbury Repertory Theatre Society on Saturday evening, when Clifford Bax’s play, “ Socrates,” was staged in the Radiant | Hall. The men’s blue, vellow. red and I brown robes bordered in gold in the Greek key. the swastika, and the bacchanalian design of the grape vine, blended in colourful harmony. Every detail was faithfully reproduced. The women were in mere sombre garb of blue and mauve, the hair being bound back from the face with gold fillets.
