Legion v. Lyttelton.

Dear Sir,—No doubt many wondered what Mr E. J. Howard, M.P., had in mind when he had so much to say about the new political Legion. It was thought that the Legion’s object was to bring honesty into politics, and so it should at least be respected. All this talk about it “ skying the towel ” appears to have been an attempt to use the Legion as a vote-splitting machine. Yet the Labour bodies tell us they never do anything like that.—l etc., A
