SCHOOL’S FORESTRY WORK.

Twenty pupils of the Addington School in charge of Mr D. M. Shirlaw. assembled at the Education Board’s afforestation area at North Beach on Saturday afternoon for the purpose of planting trees in the plots set aside for Addington. Mr Montgomery, head of (he Forestry Department, explained the method of planting. The School Ccmmitte was well represented and at the conclusion of a pleasant afternoon the chairman (Mr B. Sloane 1 addressed those present and introduced Mr W. 11. Winsor, who was mainly responsible for the scheme of tree planting Mr Winsor gave a brief address on the value of the trees to the schools in the future. Afternoon tea was supplied by the wives of the committee men.
