MOUSTACHES MEMORIAL.
LONDON, April 26. The world’s strangest memorial service followed the death of the veteran General Nagaoka, says the Tokio correspondent of the “ Daily Mail.” While the body was awaiting cremation, the general’s son. conforming to the wishes of his father’s friends, cut off the famous 20in and a special memorial service was held for them. They were afterwards interred in a mound prepared by the family and the general’s comrades. It was General Nagaoka who kissed Mrs Amy Mollison on her arrival in Japan, in 1931, after her flight from England.
