REDUCING CAPITAL.

Wilson’s Portland Cement Company. Per PrfSc Association. WELLINGTON, May 3. The secretary of Wilson’s Portland , Cement Co., Limited, has telegraphed to the Stock Exchange Association as follows:—“At a meeting to-day the directors decided to recommend to shareholders, at the annual meeting to be held on June 7, the payment of a final dividend for the ysar ended March 31 last of one shilling per share. It was also decided to recommend that ! the capital of the company be reduced i by £300,000 (ten shillings per share) by j returning to shareholders ten shillings ! per share in the form of three and a half per cent free of income tax New J Zealand Government inscribed stock for each £IOO of capital reduction, with | cash payments for amounts under £5 | or for fractions over multiples of £5.
