In the Police Court this morning, Raymond James Larsen Hume was charged with the theft at Kairanga, on February 14, of 15s, belonging to Lester Arthur Lane. The accused was remanded to appear on April 13. ChiefDetective Dunlop stated that the accused was on probation. Good Friday will be observed by the Salvation Army as “ a day at the Cross.” Three services will be conducted by Major and Mrs Suter. Services will be held at Linwood at 10.30 a.m., at Sydenham 2.30 p.m. and at the Citadel at 7 p.m. On Easter Monday the Army will hold a field day in the New Brighton Domain.
