Incorrigible Spendthrift Refused Discharge. LONDON, April 5. The registrar of the Bankruptcy Court to-day suspended for five years the discharge of Robert Sievier from bankruptcy. In so doing he described him as an incorrigible spendthrift. Sievier is the well-known follower of the turf who owned the famous filly Sceptre, which won four of five classic races in England in one season. The official receiver opposed SievierV j application for discharge on the ! grounds of unjustifiable extravagance j in living and aiso four previous bankruptcies. The total liabilities under the rive j bankruptcies are £215.940. The debtor j disputed the charge of extravagance. |
