DAMAGE TO WINDOWS.

Act of Vandalism at Ashburton. (Special to the “Star.”) ASHBURTON, April 7. An act of vandalism was perpetrated at Ashburton last night, when plate-glass windows in shops for the entire length of the main street were marked by the use of a blunt instrument or stone, presumably flint. Several windows were badly cut and disfigured. The police have the matter in hand.
