PORT OF LYTTELTON. Wheat Cargoes Loaded for Auckland. A considerable amount of produce is being shipped for the Auckland province, and the Kiwitea, which left Lyttelton yesterday, carried approximately 3000 tons of wheat, or about 31,000 sacks. The Waimarino, which arrived this morning from Timaru, will remain here until Friday to pick up wheat and general cargo for Auckland. All the available union labour was engaged by 11 a.m. to-day, and there is every prospect that there will be a shortage to-morrow, when the Foxton, Wingatui, Kini, Storm, Anglo-Canadian and Port Pirie are expected. On discharging she will proceed to Waitangi to-morrow evening. OREPUKI arrived this morning front Tarakohe with cement. She will load general and produce on discharging, and sails this evening for Nelson, Mapua anrl Motueka. FOXTON will load here for Foxton on Friday. HOLMDALE is to load here on Friday for YVellington, Picton and YY r angaKINI, with a part cargo of coal from YVestport, is expected here to-morrow, and should leave in the evening for Timaru to complete unloading. STORM is now due here on Friday from Bluff via ports to load for YVellington. Picton and Wanganui. OPIHI was an arrival at Lyttelton this morning to load for Nelson and New Plymouth.| She leaves for the north this afternoon. PORT WHANGAREI is due here from Bluff, via Dunedin and ports on Friday to load for northern ports. YVAIMARINO returned to Lyttelton this morning to continue her loading for Wellington and Auckland. The vessel, which is scheduled to leave for the north this evening, is to make a call at Picton to take in further cargo, mainly produce, for Auckland. CALM arrived at Lyttelton this morning from Dunedin, via Oamaru and Timaru, to load for YVellington and YVanganui. She should leave for the north this afternoon. ANGLO-CANADIAN, from YVellington to load a consignment of wool for London and the Continent, is due here to-morrow. CANADIAN SCOTTISH is expected at Lyttelton on Friday to discharge and load for Canadian and American ports. The vessel will proceed from Lyttelton to Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff, sailing on March 14 from Bluff for New York, Boston and Montreal. CANADIAN VICTOR will call at Lyttelton on Sunday to load the following day for American and Canadian ports. She is scheduled to leave Bluff on March 17 for New York, Boston and Montreal. COPTIC, owing to the amount of shipping at Napier, has been delayed and will not now arrive here before Saturday. RYOKA MARU, from Japan, via ports, is expected to load scrap iron here on Saturday. CAMBRIDGE, en route from Falmouth in ballast, is expected to arrive at Port Chalmers to-morrow. She will load at Lyttelton, Napier and YVellington. KARAMEA, en route from London in ballast, left Cape Town on Sunday afternoon. She is due at Nelson about March 27 to commence her Homeward loading. PERSONAL. Mr YY r . E. Jones has been appointed chief officer of the YVaimarino, and Mr E. A. Cox has been transferred to the Opihi in a similar capacity, relieving Mr L. Gillan for further orders. Mr R. Tulloch is at present actingchief officer of the YVainui, and Mr S. C. Angus is at present acting-chief officer of the Tamahine. The following officers proceeded in the Monowai as extra officers for the excursion:—Mr C. Sharpe, Mr F. J. Callan, Mr YV. J. Hill, Mr A. J. M’Kenzie, Mr E. R. Pate and Mr J. D. Crighton.
