New Zealand Ski Racing Thi« Year. Teams from Victoria and New South Wales are expected to take part in the New Zealand winter sports championships, which will be held this year at the Hermitage, Mount Cook, provided the Government agrees to arrange for extra accommodation at the Ball Hut. The Australian visitors will include the welhknown ski expert, Mr T. Mitchell, who represented the Commonwealth at the first international downhill championships at Murren. July has been fixed as the month for the usual Hermitage championships, and during the school holidays in May it is hoped to arrange for championship meetings for boys and girls from the secondary schools.
