CHRISTMAS TREE PARTIES.

Christmas tree parties organised by the Y.W.C.A. Mothers’ Club and members of the Relief Workers’ Association to supply Christmas cheer and toys for the children of distressed families, held in the Y.W-C.A. hall yesterday afternoon and evening, were most successful. The hall was gaily decorated. At one end stood a big Christmas tree laden with presents. There were about fifty children at the afternoon part}', when the entertainment included a short playette by members of the Junior Club and songs by the children. Refreshments were served, after which each child received a present from Father Christmas. The evening party was arranged for older children, and over 300 attended with their parents.
