JURORS RELEASED.
Three Applications Made to Chief Justice. Three jurors called on for service at the present sitting of the Supreme Court, were released by the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, when application was made this morning. . The first was a carrier who said he would have to close down his business if required to serve on the jury this week. He had served at the May session. Ilis Honor said that seeing the man had served at the last session he would be released. The second was a farm contractor, who said that after a long spell of unemployment he was now getting a few small jobs which could not be kept open for him until after the session. His Honor said it would not be fair to require the man's attendance. The third man handed up a letter stating that seventy men would be left without control and guidance if his absence were necessitated. In reply to a question, he said the business was an ordinary engineering one, and the manufacture of agricultural implements. “ You mean they can’t do without you/’ said his Honor. I “ Well, you are lucky in being so indispensable.”
