PRINCE HAS CHILL.
Ordered to Bed by King’s Doctor. ILLNESS NOT SERIOUS. British Official Wireless. RUGBY, June 30. The Prince of Wales is remaining in bed with a chill, apparently contracted yesterday at Nottingham, where, in the capacity of patron of the National Council of Social Service, he paid a number of visits to various social welfare centres. The Prince flew last night from Nottingham to Fort Belvedere, Sunningdale, his country home. On arrival he felt unwell, and Sir Stanley Hewett, the King’s doctor, motored from London to see him, ordering him to stay in bed. Sir Stanley saw the Prince again to-day, but the illness is not serious and no bulletins will be issued Although the Prince had to cancel his intention of attending the Canadian Dominion Day dinner to the Ottawa delegates to-night, his place was taken at this function by Prince George, who read his brother’s speech.
