BOARD OF WORKS.
The committee set up to consider the proposal to establish a Metropolitan Board of Works in Christchurch is meeting this afternoon. The order of reference of the committee is so extensive that it will be from six to nine months before concrete proposals can be embodied in a full report. Much information has already been gathered from local bodies in New Zealand and Australia.
