Miss M. C. Cullen, Greymouth, is stay ing at the United Service Hotel.
Mr and Mrs J. R. M’Kenzie, Christchurch, have left on a visit to Japan, Honolulu and the United States. Miss Dorothy Robinson, Mount Palm, North Canterbury, who has been visiting friends in Christchurch, has returned home. Guests at the Hotel Federal include Mr T. U. Ross (Wellington), Miss W. A. Brogan (Hastings) and Mr G. P. Field (Ashburton). Mr and Mrs A. E. Herriott (Dunedin), Mr and Mrs M. A. Helmore {Taranaki) are registered at the Royal Hotel. Mrs Hugh Houghton, who has beep staying with her parents, Mr and Mrs A. F. Morrison, Men vale Lane, will return to her home, “Glen Wye,” Culverden, to-morrow. Sir Charles and Lady Statham and Miss Marjorie Statham, who have been visiting Lady Statham’s mother, Mrs Burnet, Otago, passed through Christchurch 3-esterday on their return to Wellington. Mr H. M. Rushworth, M.P., and Mrs Rushworth, Bay of Islands, will arrive in Christchurch next week, when they will be the guests of Mr H. Holland, M.P., and Mrs Holland, Gracefield Street. Recent guests at the Franz Josef Glacier Hotel include Mrs W. Sutton, Mrs A. Hodgson, Miss G. Hodgson’ Miss A. Shirtliffe, Mr J. F. Earle (Nelson), Mr 11. L. Young (Wellington), Mr N. Walters. Mr A. Merson (Auckland), Mr R. E. Linssen (Wanganui), Mr J. B. Paton, Mr Duffy, Mr Cleghorne, Mr Graham (Greymouth), Mr and Mrs K. Jenkins (Motueka) Misses Black (3) (Kokatahi). Mrs W. G. Reid, formerly Miss Kathleen Price, whose home is now in Madras, India, will arrive in Wellington from England by the Rangitiki next Thursday to spend two months with her parents, Mr and Mrs W. H. Price. Mr and Mrs Price and their daughter are well known in Christchurch, where they formerly lived for some years.
