CITIZENS’ ASSOCIATION.

The difficult times experienced during the past year have naturally had an adverse effect on the finances of the Christchurch Citizens’ Association, states the annual report of that body, which will be presented at the annual meeting of members on Tuesday evening. Though seventy-seven new members have been enrolled since last year, the income of the association has been substantially reduced. No elections were held during the year, but in spite of this the association had a busy year, states the report. The coming year promised to be exceedingly active, for the municipal elections would take place, and early in 1933 the election for the Waimakariri River Trust would be held.
