ORDERED OFF.

Senior B Game was “ Very Willing.” “ On Saturday, June 25, in the game High School Old Boys v. Technical Old Boys, senior B grade, I had occasion to order off R. Templeton, of the Technical team, for striking an opponent,” wrote the referee, Mr G. W. A’Court, to the Canterbury Rugby Union last evening. “ The game at this stage

was very willing, and I believe there was a certain amount of provocation, both teams being very heated." Templeton, who attended the meeting, said that an opponent had been holding on to him even when he did not have the ball. Fie gave a push more than a direct blow. Mr W. C. Dailey said he had seen the incident, and took a similar view to that of Templeton. “ As a matter of fact it was my boy who was holding on to him,” said the chairman (Mr A. E. M’Phail). “He says he was not struck." It was decided to caution Templeton.
