Burwood Troop Win the Efficiency Cup. The annual competition among Girl '■ Guides for the Efficiency Cup, presented by Miss Bromley Cocks, took place at Linwood Park on Saturday afternoon. The cup is competed for by troops of j the East Christchurch district. Seven , troops took part, the winners being the ; Burwood troop, with 273 points. Avon- j side were second with 240 points and Lifiwood were third with 235. The pos- f sible points were 330. The headings , under which marks were awarded were i as follows: Hoisting of colours, inarch past, inspection, relay hace, cooking, ambulance, and signalling. Major J. W. Crampton was the judge. Miss M. Hogg. in presenting the cup, said the standard of the troops was very good. Other officials of the Girl Guides present were: Miss M. Maxwell, Miss O. D. M’llraith and Mrs N v R.
