TRAPPED IN CHURCH
Flood-bound Rhinelanders Rescued by Police. POLICE EFFECT RESCUES. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received May 18. 11.30 a.m.) BERLIN, May 17. Praying in a church at Guel, near Coblenz, twenty-five people were trapped by flood waters following a cloudburst which extensively damaged the Rhineland. The waters had almost reached the necks of the congregation when the police rescued them through the church roof. Five people were drowned in the same village.
